Genetic variability in oilseed rape DH line population developed from F1 hybrids obtained by crossing black-and yellow-seeded DH lines. I. yield and yield components

Abstract The aims of this study were to estimate the diversity doubled haploid population winter oilseed rape ( Brassica napus L.) in terms yield, yield structure and seed colour, determine correlation between studied traits their heritability, select best yellow-seeded genotypes. We 44 haploids, obtained from F 1 hybrids a cross black-seeded DH H 2 -26 line Z-114 line, as well parental forms. greatest variation populations was observed for number pods per plant, while smallest variability thousand weight. Seed positively correlated with plant seeds pod, but negatively yellow colour. broad-sense heritability coefficient highest colour lowest plant. When divided into 4 homogeneous groups according genotypes differed significantly respect all traits. A group lines black characterized by yielding group, that yellow–brown seeds, had on average pod selected. Four gave higher yields than line.
